Lollapalooza Berlin Turns 10: A Decade of Music, Magic, and Memories!

Berlin, it’s time to celebrate—Lollapalooza Berlin is turning 10! Since 2015, this global festival phenomenon has made its mark on the city, bringing unforgettable moments, groundbreaking performances, and a vibrant sense of community.  

From its Chicago roots in 1991 as Perry Farrell’s bold experiment, Lollapalooza has become a worldwide sensation. When Berlin became its European home in 2015, the journey began at Tempelhofer Feld with Sam Smith and more setting the stage for greatness. Over the years, it’s moved to iconic locations like Treptower Park and Rennbahn Hoppegarten before finding its current home at Olympiastadion in 2018, where artists like Billie Eilish and Seeed have created unforgettable moments.  

Lollapalooza Berlin is also paving the way for a sustainable future. In 2022, it became the first festival in Germany to start the **DIN ISO 20121 certification process for sustainable event management**, solidifying its commitment to reducing waste, promoting green energy, and championing eco-friendly practices.
